1. Pick a Quit date (sometime in the future but not too far).
2. Research & Select a Stop Smoking Aid.
3. Decide how you will get rid of cigarettes and smoking paraphernalia.
4. Select a stop smoking buddy (someone who will support and not enable you).
5. Identify your smoking stressors, triggers and behaviour patterns.
6. Determine what you will be doing with your hands, when you are bored etc.
